House of Pain? No! House of Progress!

We went to my office Christmas party tonight and came home to a (FINALLY) working large kitchen sink. We've been using a tiny bar sink for all our kitchen washing/cooking needs. And it does NOT suffice.

Eric was VERY excited to "Wash hands in the big sink." A couple of weird things about it though. The water pressure isn't very good, and it's excellent everywhere else in the house. They'll have to look into that, and usually the back position in a single handle faucet is "hot" and front is "cold" this one is reversed. I don't think that's right.

So, the only thing left to do is hook up the electric for the dishwasher and the disposal and install the under-counter lights and they'll be 100% done in the kitchen. The only thing left in the whole house will be the vanity and the tile in the half bath. The kitchen came out beautiful. The countertops are copper-Formica (apparently made with real copper) I've got a huge white farmhouse sink, and a brushed nickel faucet curving above it. I like it. I like it a lot.

When we started this process I thought we'd be done by mid-September. Now it seems amazing that we're even remotely finished. The vanity should be in by the end of next week, so they can do that and they'll be done. But then the final bills will come in from the contractor and those will be very painful... (but worth it)
